Glad i saw this post, gives us a chance to reconnect whether you know it or not.

Love ya,

Huda (and yes I am crying)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797518818272666624.post-67438041983037711982010-11-06T05:06:26.168+04:002010-11-06T05:06:26.168+04:00Daddy, good to see you around here in my world :)...Daddy, good to see you around here in my world :)

Yes it was a good day for personal reflection and I really don't regret it, and when i first got home the irony didn't hit me that hard since I'm used to the kids sleeping by the time i get home...but with helping sooo many poeple in so many different ways and having just an unusual day it was just more clear when writing it all out.
The ending that raised more questions than i had time to type out.

It's hard to figure these times out as our parents didn't have blogs to keep all their musings and diaries of the sort are sadly not too common. I'm sure for you when your mom (grandma) spent time off with her friends or needing time alone or a shopping break you didn't think of it as her needing a mental relaxation from her stresses of parenthood, most likely you saw it as time she wasn't with you. DId you learn to see things differently while parenting me? Did you realize times you were relaxing, doing hobbies to chill from work stress that sometimes I was seeing it as time away from me? Of course as I was a teen I realized you were stressed from work.
When exactly did you get time alone to recooperate and de-stress and re-think out life? Where did you go?

It is strange to think your parents as "other" people out there. But maybe that's a part of life and a stage of learning as you move out of the selfish teens and into the real world.

You don't have to answer my questions on here if you dont like, you can e-mail me :)
Love you and I'm thankful for all the times we did have together.American Muslima Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17494763839971976761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797518818272666624.post-54187055276088346932010-11-06T04:52:55.763+04:002010-11-06T04:52:55.763+04:00Marahm,

In blogworld it's a thin line trying to type what you want and hoping it's also what others want to read.American Muslima Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17494763839971976761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797518818272666624.post-47355311234257201912010-11-06T04:46:15.902+04:002010-11-06T04:46:15.902+04:00I'm surprised and glad that people took the ti...I'm surprised and glad that people took the time from their lives to read all that!American Muslima Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17494763839971976761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797518818272666624.post-5536609122017842822010-11-05T23:59:09.487+04:002010-11-05T23:59:09.487+04:00"A day without learning is a day wasted."..."A day without learning is a day wasted." You learned much on this day, even though it did not involve your family. While family is important at all times, there are also times when you need time to yourself to re-group your thoughts, and to reflect on who you are, and who you want to be, and where you want to go with your life. It sounds like you were able to do a lot of this thinking on this day. It wasn't that you didn't have time for your family. It was more about being reflective in your thoughts so you can better appreciate your life with your family. The opportunities to have these moments are usually rare. I am glad you were able to enjoy it!Daddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4797518818272666624.post-54142726041694160042010-11-05T20:00:24.970+04:002010-11-05T20:00:24.970+04:00This was an interesting post about a day in your l...This was an interesting post about a day in your life. The last line carried an interesting irony, but I'd have liked another few lines, because I know you are loving and attentive to your family.

Did you feel guilty for taking one day just for yourself? Did you realize that this one day for yourself was necessary, and actually "rebooted" your energy with respect to your role as homemaker and mom? Does your job serve the same purpose-- mainly, a reaffirmation of who you are on a level apart from homemaking?

I know this is blog post, but since we are both writers with an eye for publication, I'd suggest that if you revise this with the goal of crafting a personal essay, you'd edit some of the extraneous narrative and develop that last irony.

In any event, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I love reading posts about how people live from day to day, apart from the philosophical stuff we so often write about on blogs.

*************************

Yes, I accept your challenge! Now I will work on a blog post about it.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12445728557029945841noreply@blogger.com
