More Bloggers!

Wrote: American Muslima Writer |

Masha'Allah I am continuously amazed at all the wonderful Sisters Blogging out there in the world now.  When I first started up years ago there were maximum 200 sisters around the world daring to blog their opinions.  Now look at them! So many I can't even keep track or keep count!
One of my many goals in this life is to let Sisters come together more easily. By making my Blog Directory (when there wasn't any around years back) allowed Sisters to do this. To read about topics they loved, by fellow Sisters they can relate to. For a while I couldn't add any more Sisters to my Directory because it was taking up too much of my time. I was complicating the process more than I had to. Now I just streamlined it and have started adding Sisters again.
And OH! the blog fever returns!!!!  I Love seeing Sisters showcasing their lives and talents! And from all over the world!  I like a new Blogger out there http://notsooperfect.blogspot.com/ NOT SO PERFECT. Okay I'm partial to this blog cuz she's into Designing like me but it's more than that it's the outlook she has and the enthusiasm she writes with.  Go add her to your followers, she's really cool.
Of course there are countless others I've just added to the Blog Directory too that are really awesome.  One Sister in Arts Crafts n Hobbies (under the section Arts and Crafts) is having a giveaway of a beaded bracelet so go check her out too. The countries are starting to fill out more too. Recent newcomers from Pakistan, Nigeria. UK, USA, and European Countries!
I'm so excited really I am!
I do apologise and please forgive me Sisters who have asked months and years ago to be added, I will get to you!!!!!!  Life's rough sometimes, but Allah has given me time to add you now.
Please do go check out the recent blog additions and perhaps you'll discover a new friend!
Salams!

Masha'Allah this is part of my 2009 goals featuring each month an Awesome Blogger I find that is doing A LOT of work online to help their sisters or has a very interesting blog.

Our March Amazing Blogger Award goes to: Ms.Unique, she has five awesome blogs:

Common Misconceptions About Islam: "This blog explains the Common and Widespread misconceptions about Islam as explained by Dr.Zakir Naik. " May Allah(SWT) forgive us our sins and accept from us whatever little we are doing to spread the truth." (Ameen)" is what it's all about. Here is a great source of knowledge for people looking to learn new things about islam that they have questions about. Sometimes I find myself reading over it and learning something new too!

Islamic Tidbits: "This blog consists of the Interpretation of verses from the Qur'an, explanation of Hadith, Life of Sahaba(RA) and the Salaf, and general advice to Muslims which have been sent through the SMS. " May Allah(SWT) forgive us our sins and accept from us whatever little that we are doing to spread the truth." (Ameen)" Definitly a source of beauty for those needing a boost of Imaan. i find sometimes jsut reading something will make my day a lot brighter! Amazing and awesome blog for sure!

Ms.Unique's Corner: Her main blog about General Thoughts. I find her posts deep and insightful and always full of goodness. She definfitly brings out the sweetness in other bloggers and is kind in commmenting frequently on people's blogs. I've seen her all over the blogosphere spreading her sweet words that warm the hearts of those who recieve them.

Islamic Question And Answers: "This blog contains all the Q & A I recieve through e-mail. " May Allah(SWT) forgive us our sins and accept from us whatever little that we are doing to spread the truth." (Ameen)" I find the variety of topics refreshing and thoughtful and am glad that she makes these posts so that i don't have to do the effort of finding the answers myself of clicking around the internet. She's so sweet to make the trouble to do this for everyone's benefit insha'Allah!

Prophet's Medicine: "This blog is about all the medicines which have been prescribed by the Prophet (SAWS)." WOW what can I say but WOW. I've heard from my in-laws that this was prescribed or that was prescribed byt the Prophet for this or that illness but never found anything about it mentioned. And this blog tells many good things that you can do in your home. It is amazing truely! A quick example:
"Watermelon should be eaten before the meals. Otherwise, it will cause nausea. Some doctors said that when watermelon is, "Eaten before the meal, it cleanses the stomach and removes ailments."Taken From: Healing With The Medicine Of The Prophet (peace be upon him) By Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyah" I find the most interesting thing here!

So for all your hard work in maintaining these blogs and for being a sweet and caring person to all those whom you meet Ms. Unique, you get the prize!

Amazing Bloggers! "Lazeena: Halal?, Food on Niqaab, Al-Ghaithi"

Wrote: American Muslima Writer |

Masha'Allah this is part of my 2009 goals featuring each month an Awesome Blogger I find that is doing A LOT of work online to help their sisters or has a very interesting blog.

Our February Amazing Blogger Award goes to: Lazeena. She has three awesome blogs:

Is it Halal? Which features different Products and if they are Halal or Haram for us Muslims to use. She personally e-mails or writes tot eh company and asks specific questions and then posts the actual reply from the company directly on her site. Very informative. Just the other day I was at my close friend's house and she sudden;y commented, "Yeah cause Laundry Softeners are full of beef fat..." My mind did a double take. Wait a second! I saw that post! That's Lazeena's Blog! "Where did you see that?" "Online, a site called is it Halal? It features -" "Yeah of course I know that site! I'm always blogging with the sister, her name is Lazeena. She's awesome." "Oh ok well cool."
So Lazeena it's official you're famous. A non-blogger was quoting you. :D

Is there food on my niqaab? An awesome mix of thoughts musings and informative and funny ideas. Just the blog name itself is unusual but soo true. I really love to see what Lazeena will post about next.

Al Ghaithi Sisters I will let the blog speak for itself :)
Who is this family?
In October of 2007 the Al-Ghaithi family suffered from a gas explosion in their Harlem, NY apartment. The result? Mother and wife, Alouf (29) died from injuries, leaving behind her four beautiful daughters who were badly burned (ages 6, 5, 3, and 1). 3 year old Leena became blinded and 6 year old Duaa suffered the most, with burns that covered more than 60% of her tiny body! On top of that she lost three fingers on her right hand. After spending 10 months in the hospital and undergoing intense therapy, she was finally reunited with her father, Rassas, and sisters. The family then moved out of the homeless shelter they were staying in to a new apartment in Queens. Please help this family know the Muslim Ummah is there for them and send a contribution to help them restart their lives!

Awesome of you Lazeena to make a whole blog to help this family. Insha'Allah they are doing better and may you gain reward from Allah. So for all your blogging efforts, here you go hon. All for you.

Wrote: American Muslima Writer |

Masha'Allah this is part of my 2009 goals to start featuring each month an awesome Blogger I find that is doing A LOT of work online to help their sisters or has a very interesting blog.

Our January Amazing Blogger is:

Towards an Orderly Muslim Household This is one of many blogs for blogger Talibiddeen Jr. In this blog she focuses in how to oraganize your household into running smoothly and better islamically. She has dozens if not a hundred printables of organizations charts and links. Some links are still under construction so I hope she continues to update the site.

About her site she says:
"This site is aimed at providing tips, "projects", printables, and motivation especially for the Muslimah homemaker (but there's lots that may be helpful even if you are not Muslim).
The Muslimah homemaker has many roles: slave of Allah, wife, woman, mother, teacher, housekeeper, cook.
My ultimate goal is to provide resources that help the Muslimah carry out all these important roles more efficiently for the sake of Allah."
Click here for more information about this site and the blogger behind it.

I was amazed at the time and energy that she puts into her blogs and still manages to keep her house and many kids organized... wow did she say 8! Masha'Allah! I can't wait to see what else she will add! So for you dear Umm Ibrahim (Talibiddeen Jr.) I dub you this month's Amazing Blogger! You're a rare jewel and we all hope you keep shining.
